It is one of the best places in Tanzania to search for the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the rare black rhino. Other animals commonly seen include zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos, jackals, gazelles, and many bird species.

The Mara River crossings are among the most powerful wildlife spectacles in Africa, with steep riverbanks, strong currents, crocodiles, and predators nearby. River crossings are natural events and cannot be guaranteed, but your guide will use experience, timing, and local knowledge to position you in the best possible areas.

Even without a crossing, the Northern Serengeti offers exceptional wildlife viewing, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and rich birdlife. You will spend the day on game drives with a picnic lunch, returning to camp in the evening.
